There is a whole world calling. Listen and respond. You will change your life, you will change your body and you will change your energy level.

For something different, grab a friend or friends and go adventure outdoors.

For the beginner, go easy. Hiking is a fun way to break into the exercise world. Pick a spot, any spot. If you live in a city, stroll through the downtown area, or find a park to pick up the pace. If you are a country person or want to enjoy to the country, state and national parks have many interesting areas.

Got a bike? Get on it. Or go get one. The views offered by a bike seat are different. The exercise is great and you can host your own bike race.

Rollerblading is cheap to start and enjoyable. Soon you may be the one doing the tricks that entertain.

As you gain experience in adventuring outdoors, expand your skills and interests. You might want to try surfing, rock climbing, back packing, camping, gliding, fishing, touch football, baseball, outdoor exercise groups, archery, gold panning, or photography, to name a few. Classes can teach you the basic skills. Then join a group. Many of these outdoor adventures are free or nearly free. Others require an investment. The equipment you need to buy will last a long time and give you hours and hours of healthy enjoyment.

The added benefit to all this are the new friends you will meet, with the same interests you now have. If you are single, there are single groups available, for camping, for rock climbing, whatever your want.

Who knows, you might just meet your new best friend while enjoying the outdoors. A healthy, happy friend.
