Many people that live in Australia are moving to South East Queensland. This is a really booming area. Not only are Australian’s moving there but also there are many international families moving there. Those that are coming to the area state that it is because there is so much work and it is a great place to raise children.

South East Queensland population increases at more than 60,000 people a year. This means that 1200 people a week are moving to South East Queensland from interstate, internationally and from the South East region of Queensland.

Many of the people that are moving to this particular area are actually from other areas of Queensland. This country to city life change is becoming more and more prevalent. Most are moving to the suburbs, which make the transition much easier for most families. The issue with this, though, is that the infrastructure and local amenities are affected.

Families that are moving into the area can buy a home for under $300,000. This is for the average family home. There has been huge boom in the housing market in the area, also, because many families are looking to purchase a brand new home. The fact that there are a lot of new homes, though, has cause a strain on the power grid in the are which is about on the breaking point.

Water is another problem. With more people comes the need for more water. Many areas now are dealing with restrictions on watering their lawns. They can water every other day instead of every day now. Most are fine with this because they understand that this is what comes with growth.

Moving to South East Queensland is a decision that most love and are happy with. It is a great place to raise a family. With so many areas being affected by the economy, this is one area that people can move to and not worry about that.
