Delaware State in the USA is a great vacation spot, attracting millions of tourists every year. The campsite offers a lot of facilities to the tourists such as a large area for tents and vehicles, electricity, water and sewer services. Snack vending machines, Showers and Laundry facility available in the Indian River Inlet make life comfortable for the visitors. Though the sites are offered on a first come first serve basis, some of the sites for self-controlled camping units can be reserved throughout the year.

Holts Landing State Park, developed in 203 acre area, is a historical park with beautiful landscapes from Bay Shore to the lush fields and on the hardwood forests. Next is Killen’s Pond State Park situated in the heart of Kent County. In the middle of the park lie a 66-acre millpond, established in 1700, offering boating and fishing in calm and natural surroundings. Accommodation is easily available throughout the year. Good cabins are available with sleeping rooms, Kitchens, dining rooms, bath with showers, A/Cs and heaters. Besides, a grill, picnic table and a deck is offered in the open. The cabin’s rent includes the charges of canoeing and boating.

Another attraction is Trap Pond State Park, a fresh water marshland spread in a large part of Sussex County. It was made in 1700 to work for a Sawmill during the reaping of bald cypress trees. The Govt. purchased it in 1930, renovated it, while preserving the natural beauty and mystery of the damp squib and declared it a State Park in 1951. There are many camp sites to stay overnight. Tents and big vehicles can be parked beneath the huge pines. Advance booking is must for big groups. Hiking, watching wildlife, the humming bird, owls, blue herons, warbler, bald eagles and woodpecker is a great fun.

Brandywine Creek State Park’s nature-preserves are amazing with a lot of wild flowers, deer, and songbirds, many species of hawks, and other flora and fauna. Brandywine Creek is popular for fishing, canoeing and boating. Tourists desirous of fishing in Delaware Bay must come to Cape Henlopen State Park. It remains open from April 1 to October 31 and offers many facilities including transport for the handicapped. Lums Pond State Park, sited in the largest fresh water lake in Delaware State and covering 1757 acres of land, is located between Chesapeake peak and Delaware River. It has a beautiful sandy beach, ideal for boating and swimming. Visiting Delaware is really a great pleasure.
